Breaking for Bass Is Paying Off at Castaic
- Share via
Castaic Lake off I-5 is accessible enough to serve commuters, a point proven by several regulars who fish early or late, even on working days.
Ralph Gammel of Castaic got off work one day last week, arrived at the lake with friend Dave Brink at about 3:30 p.m. and was off by 5 with another big week of largemouth bass catches: 15, 13 and 5 pounds.
Crawfish are still the bait of choice.
