Patton to Coach TeamTennis Expansion Team

Greg Patton, former coach for UC Irvine and Newport Beach Dukes coach, will coach the Idaho Sneakers, a World TeamTennis expansion franchise that will be in Boise next summer, team General Manager Jim Frye said Tuesday.
Patton, who guided the Irvine men’s team to nine conference titles in 13 seasons (1980-92), led the Boise State men’s team to the Big Sky Conference championship in his first year as coach last spring. He spent the last four TeamTennis seasons as the Dukes’ coach.
