NEW YORK — A teen-ager convicted in eight murders will be nearly 70 years old before he is first considered for parole.
Etheriage Pierce Jr., 19, was sentenced to serve a combined term of 200 years in prison for three killings in Rochester, N.Y., and five in New York City.
He was sentenced Thursday in the March, 1992, slayings of his grandparents, an aunt, a cousin and the cousin’s girlfriend. The shootings came after he was accused of stealing from family members, prosecutors said.
He was convicted earlier in the Rochester slayings, which came a few days after the New York City shootings.
