AGRICULTURE: Crop production is expected to increase 5% to 10%. Farm income will rise; consumer food price hikes are forecast at 2%. Export gains and ongoing demand for California produce will increase the state’s farm income. Federal plans could bedevil California farmers’ water supplies and, in turn, lead to lower yields.
