A man was arrested Thursday on suspicion of stabbing a friend during an argument, police said. The latter was not seriously hurt.
Duane Kyle Terry, 23, was arguing with Dennis Dodier, 30, both of Westminster, in the 7200 block of Wyoming Street about 1:25 p.m. Thursday, Lt. Mike Chliskey said.
Dodier then started to choke Terry, police said.
“They had been friends, but the one being choked . . . pulled out a pocketknife and stabbed the other one three times in the back and one time in the neck,” Chliskey said.
Dodier got away, ran outside and called police officers, who were in the area on a separate investigation, police said.
Dodier was taken to UCI Medical Center in Orange for treatment of superficial knife wounds and later released, Chliskey said.
Terry was being held at Orange County Jail.
