College students casting about for careers might want to consider turf science--not the art of handicapping horses but the care and maintenance of golf courses.
Turf science majors at Purdue University have all found jobs upon graduation over the past eight years, according to Purdue agronomy professor Clark Throssell.
And there’s room for advancement, the university suggests in a newsletter listing job possibilities--but only for grads whose grass is always greener.
