EARTHQUAKE / THE LONG ROAD BACK : Coroner’s Office Releases Partial List of Quake Dead

The Los Angeles County coroner’s office Tuesday night identified 30 of the 40 people who died as a result of the earthquake, including 12 of the 16 who died when the first floor of a Northridge apartment building collapsed.
Those who died in the collapse were:
Angeline (Ann) Cerone, 80; Sharon Englar, 58; Phil Englar, 62; Darla Raye Enos, 43; Cecilia Pressman, 72; David Pressman, 72; Bea Reskin, 71; Jaime Reyes, 19; Karol Runnings, 48; Manuel D. Sandoval, 24; Adam Slotnik, 27, and Myrna Velasquez, 18.
Others who died in the quake were:
Jerry Borman, 67, Santa Clarita; Pearl Carr, 70, Granada Hills; Norman Cole, 79, Granada Hills; Burton Krell, 59, of Northridge; Los Angeles Police Officer Clarence W. Dean, 46; Ted Peter Fichtner, 28; Hannah Kamiya, 75, Los Angeles; Gennady Khytman, 45, West Hollywood; Kevin C. Maher, 25, Sherman Oaks; Antionia Munoz, 66; Concha Quintanar, 83, San Fernando; Madeline Riggins, 92, Panorama City; Amy Vigil-Tyre, 5; Olga Robles Uribe, 26; Margarita Vasquez, 90; Lionel Ventura, 20, Sun Valley; Marc Yobf, 32, Sherman Oaks, and Karen Osterholt, 30, Sherman Oaks.
