CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — The U.S. attorney’s office entertains callers on hold with a little mood music: the themes from “Perry Mason,” “Dragnet” and “Hawaii Five-O.”
“Members of the judiciary and myself complained about being put on hold and being subjected to the same elevator music over and over again,” U.S. Atty. Steve Rapp said. “We thought we’d have some variety.”
So now, while waiting to talk to someone about an upcoming trial or to report a crime, callers hear the themes from the popular crime shows.
