New Projects at Disneyland, Knott’s

As Six Flags Magic Mountain and Universal Studios Hollywood battle it out this spring with their new attractions, Disneyland and Knott’s Berry Farm also have new projects:
Knott’s Berry Farm: On Memorial Day weekend, the Buena Park attraction plans to open Thunder Falls. The area will be highlighted by Mystery Lodge, a special-effects attraction that will tell a story based on the traditions of the Native American peoples of the Northwest Pacific Coast. Thunder Falls, which represents Knott’s Berry Farm’s largest expansion since 1988, will also include a plaza with street entertainment and a museum store that will sell authentic Native American crafts.
Disneyland: The Anaheim park added Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin to the Mickey’s Toontown area in January. A high-tech parade based on Disney’s upcoming animated feature, “The Lion King,” is expected to begin in July, and the theme park will introduce a thrill ride based on the Indiana Jones films early next year.
