Being of Chinese descent I found Amanda Stinchecum’s article (“A World Away,” May 22) truthful and precise. Her descriptions brought back numerous memories of Hong Kong and Lamma Island. Comparing her visual journey to my own, I can see that appreciation for new places and events is still common ground among travelers.
