VENTURA : Special Olympians to Ride High in Saddle

More than 130 developmentally disabled equestrians from around the state will meet at the Ventura County Fairgrounds this weekend for the California Special Olympics 1994 Equestrian Championships.
Riders from all over Southern California are expected to compete in the event, said Pete Peters, who helped start the annual competition eight years ago.
The event begins 9 a.m. Saturday and will include riding classes and jumping.
