Pacific Scientific Co.: The company said Tuesday that it is restructuring its Rockford, Ill., operations by creating a new division in Charlestown, Mass.
The new motion technology division will develop control systems, software and systems integration. The move allows the Rockford plant to continue to serve the market for direct-current motors and generators.
The two divisions will continue to share marketing, sales and other joint functions through the end of the year.
Pacific Scientific, based in Newport Beach, is a maker of electrical and safety equipment.
