Premier Signs Pact With Japanese Firm

IRVINE — Premier Laser Systems, the medical devices maker, said Thursday that its products will be sold in Japan, Taiwan and the People’s Republic of China now that it has signed an exclusive $1.5-million marketing agreement with a Japanese company.
The Irvine-based company said Nippon Shoji Kaisha Ltd. of Osaka, a leading maker of wound closure products, will sell Premier’s laser tissue melding products in the Pacific Rim.
