Survivors Sought After Russia Dam Bursts; 12 Die

MOSCOW — Rescuers in helicopters and on land searched Tuesday for dozens of people washed away when a dam burst in the Ural Mountains. At least 12 people were confirmed killed and officials listed 70 as missing.
A wall of water swept over four villages when the dam on the Tirlyan reservoir collapsed Sunday night after heavy rains. About 750 people were evacuated from the Beloretsk region downriver.
