THOUSAND OAKS : Sunday Is a Free Day at Simi Dump

Thousand Oaks residents getting a head start on spring cleaning can dump trash for free at the Simi Valley Landfill Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The landfill will not accept tires, asbestos or any kind of hazardous waste. But residents can bring any other sort of household junk to 2801 Madera Road in Simi Valley. Proof of residency in Thousand Oaks is required.
Sunday’s event marks the first time Thousand Oaks has held a free disposal day at the Simi Valley Landfill. The city will continue to sponsor its Community Cleanu-Up Day in Thousand Oaks on Memorial Day weekend.
