Willie Brown Story Was a Little Different

It was like a breath of fresh air reading the Oct. 3 story about ex-Raider Willie Brown’s noble campaign to help Jordan High’s football program. For a Hall of Fame member and seven-time Pro Bowl player to choose coaching in an underfunded and strife-ridden community over the lure of the fast buck is nearly an anomaly in our material culture.
Am I just imagining it, or do we have a real-life hero in the making for our city kids to look up to?
