Southwest Extends $39 Intrastate Fares: The no-frills carrier said its air fare sale for travel within California will end Dec. 31 instead of Nov. 10. The 21-day advance-purchase tickets are non-refundable, seats are limited, and travel must be completed by March 2. The Dallas-based airline said it extended the sale, which began Oct. 22, to meet overwhelming demand. Southwest stock closed $1.25 lower at $22 on the New York Stock Exchange.
