REHOBOTH, Mass. — Emil Kijek hit the first hole in one of his life. Then he dropped dead.
“He was kind of happy, but he wasn’t jumping with joy and all that,” said Morris Dumont, who was golfing with Kijek on Thursday. But then, at the next tee, the 79-year-old Kijek approached the ball, rolled his eyes, said: “Oh, no,” and collapsed. The cause of death was not immediately released.
