ANAHEIM : Free Painting Offered to Seniors, Disabled
- Share via
Senior citizens and low-income disabled residents can apply to have their houses painted free next spring by volunteers.
“Paint Your Heart Out Anaheim” uses volunteer labor and donated paint to spruce up houses of residents who are physically unable to perform the work. More than 156 houses have been painted since the program was started by the city’s Community Development Department in 1990.
Some houses chosen also will have landscaping and minor repairs done. A total of 45 will be selected for painting and repairs.
The deadline for applications from homeowners who are 55 years or older or are low-income disabled is Dec. 31. Houses will be chosen by March. All houses will be painted May 6.
