OUTLOOK
Davis has coached his team into the playoffs in each of his three seasons at Estancia, but with University and Aliso Niguel bringing solid programs to the league, he will have a tough time making it four in a row. The Eagles have a quality player in Waltz, who averaged 8.2 points and 7.4 assists while earning all-league honors for the second consecutive year. Seniors Richards and Dominguez also return to the starting lineup and bring solid numbers from last season. Estancia has a stable of talented sophomores who will get playing time, including 6-foot-3- center Lindquist who will back up Noland. The Eagles lost a pair of starters from last season’s second-place team and that could be a difficult void to fill. Estancia has a light nonleague schedule, but finishes with nine league games in 31 days. The first three in that stretch against Laguna Hills, Costa Mesa and Aliso Niguel could make or break the Eagles’ season.
