Mayflower to Sell Moving Van Unit: Mayflower Group Inc. said it was entering negotiations with UniGroup, a private St. Louis-based company owned by agents of United Van Lines, on the sale of Mayflower Transit Inc. UniGroup’s bid to take over the subsidiary is the best offer received to date, Mayflower added. Mayflower Transit, based in Carmel, Ind., moves household goods and provides special commodity and international transportation services.
