California Commercial Bankshares: The Newport Beach parent company of National Bank of Southern California posted profit of $859,000, or 35 cents a share, for 1994, contrasted with a net loss of $2.8 million, or $1.15 a share, for 1993. For the fourth quarter, profit was $445,000, or 18 cents a share, up from $113,000, or 5 cents a share, for the 1993 fourth quarter. Total assets as of Dec. 31 were $300.7 million, lower than the $324.6 million in assets at the end of 1993.
