A 48-year-old Oxnard man has died after sustaining multiple internal injuries when the forklift he was driving overturned, authorities said Sunday.
Paul F. Kozlowski was operating the forklift in a warehouse area of the Procter & Gamble Paper Products plant on Rice Avenue in Oxnard when the accident occurred about 9:30 p.m. Saturday, Ventura County Deputy Coroner Craig Stevens said.
Although fellow employees administered cardiopulmonary resuscitation, Kozlowski died shortly after arriving by ambulance at St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Oxnard.
Stevens said it appeared that no one saw the accident. Investigators believe that Kozlowski may have been turning a corner when the forklift overturned.
An investigation into the mishap was continuing Sunday.
