Cal State Northridge’s nonconference game against Pepperdine at Matador Field was canceled Tuesday because of rain and wet grounds.
Miscellany
A report has been filed with the Ventura County District Attorney’s office on the man who taped a phone call with Simi Valley High baseball Coach Mike Scyphers, according to Simi Valley police.
Ray Rainer taped a phone conversation in September during which Scyphers allegedly tried to persuade him to send his two sons, Matt and Mike, to Simi Valley instead of Royal. Rainer did not tell Scyphers he was recording the conversation.
