Visitors Spent $4.9 Billion: Tourism brought more than 37 million people to Orange County in 1994, and those visitors spent more than $4.9 billion on transportation, lodging, dining and entertainment, according to figures released by the Anaheim/Orange County Visitors & Convention Bureau.
According to the report, about 130,000 Orange County jobs are linked to tourism.
“The visitor industry in Orange County is vital to its economic well-being,” said Charles Ahlers, the bureau’s president.
