Most Oregon Evacuees Go Home After Fire Alert

LA PINE, Ore. — Most residents were allowed to return late Saturday after more than 150 homes were evacuated as a campfire raced out of control near this central Oregon town.
The fire blackened more than 75 acres of pine on state and private land. The source was traced to a campfire built by four teen-agers behind a mobile home, said Sheriff’s Lt. Greg Brown.
