The Bullfrogs have asked Roller Hockey International officials to review tape of a shot by Victor Gervais that would have won Friday’s game against the Oakland Skates in the fifth round of penalty shots.

The Bullfrogs said the shot went through the net. The referee, linesman and goal judge said the puck hit off the crossbar and went over the net allowing the Skates to win, 8-7.

Gervais and Coach Grant Sonier received 10-minute misconduct and game-misconduct penalties for disputing the call. Under RHI rules, both were automatically suspended one game. The suspensions will stand even though the team is disputing the call. Gervais and Sonier will sit out today’s game against the San Diego Barracudas.

The league office is expected to decide within two days after reviewing the tape.
