VENTURA : Rail Work to Affect Johnson Drive
- Share via
Vehicle traffic along Johnson Drive in east Ventura will be severely impaired most of next week as construction workers upgrade the Southern Pacific Railroad crossing south of Bristol Road.
City traffic engineers are advising motorists to avoid Johnson Drive between Monday and Friday, although the businesses along the thoroughfare will remain open during construction.
Work crews will limit traffic to one lane south of Bristol Road, although drivers can access Northbank Plaza from Ventura Road or the Ventura Freeway, city Traffic Engineer Nazir Lalani said.
Johnson Drive will reopen to two-way traffic on Friday. For more information, call the Ventura engineering division at 654-7769.
