Gunman Takes Cash, Pagers From Business

Police were searching Saturday for a gunman who robbed a Ventura business Friday, making off with an undisclosed amount of cash and electronic pagers, officials said.
The man entered Hyepage at 4532 Telephone Road about 5:45 p.m., police said.
Waving a handgun, he demanded that a clerk open the store’s cash register and safe, police said.
After taking cash from the register and pagers from the safe, the man forced the clerk into a restroom, shut the door, and then fled on foot, police said.
The man is described as a Latino in his 20s who is 5 feet, 8 inches tall, 160 pounds, with black hair. He was wearing a blue cap, a gray sweatshirt and blue shorts. His face was covered with a blue bandanna and dark sunglasses.
