Obituaries : Anastasia Goumas; Longtime Camarillo Resident

Anastasia Goumas, a 25-year Camarillo resident and a founding member of St. Demetrious Greek Orthodox Church, has died. She was 85.
Goumas was born in Siatista, Greece, on Oct. 14, 1910, and she moved to Ventura County after living several years in Silver Spring, Md. Goumas was a homemaker and an avid member of the St. Demetrious church. She was also a member of Philoptochos Ladies Society and the Daughters of Penelope.
She is survived by her daughters, Kallie Langas of Newbury Park and Gloria Millakis of Camarillo, and son Mark Goumas of Alexandria, Va., two sons-in-law, eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, sisters Eleni Ververis of Athens, Greece, and Popi Kavoures of Silver Spring.
There will be a religious service at 7 p.m. Thursday and a funeral service at 10 a.m. Friday,--both at St. Demetrious Greek Orthodox Church in Camarillo.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Pierce Brothers Griffin Mortuary in Camarillo.
