Driver Who Hit Bus on Probation

Charges of drunk driving and driving with a revoked license were filed Friday against a 43-year-old Reseda man who allegedly crashed into a school bus.
Michael John Shelby Sr. has two previous drunk-driving convictions and was on probation from a Jan. 11 conviction, when he drove into a school bus on Roscoe Boulevard Thursday afternoon with a blood-alcohol content more than twice the legal limit, Deputy City Atty. Nicholas Fratianne said.
No one was hurt in the crash, but Shelby was arrested and held on $7,500 bail. If found guilty of violating probation, he would also face up to 363 days in jail for the prior drunk-driving conviction, Fratianne added.
