An $8,695 federal grant for the Simi Valley Library is expected to be approved Tuesday by the Ventura County Board of Supervisors.
The funds will be used to purchase materials on career development, said Dixie Adeniran, the county’s director of library services. Career tests, vocational and job-search aids and business directories will be purchased.
The federal Major Urban Resource Library grant, administered by the California State Library, is given to libraries in cities with a population of 100,000 or greater.
