Of the five home runs the JetHawks gave up in a 12-8 loss to the Lake Elsinore Storm on Tuesday night, the most regrettable might have been Bret Hemphill’s booming three-run shot in the 12th.
Hemphill is batting only .202 with 20 strikeouts in 84 at-bats.
“I just wanted to throw a strike and he was all over it,” said right-hander Tom Szimanksi, who gave up the homer. “It was definitely a mistake.”
