Justice Brown

After reviewing the story on the confirmation of Janice Rogers Brown to the state Supreme Court (May 3), I was struck by the irony of the situation. Amazingly, Court of Appeal Justice Robert Puglia is more upset about leaks to the media detailing Justice Brown’s flaws than the fact that Brown would possess these shortcomings in the first place.
Am I the only person that finds it tremendously ironic that Gov. Pete Wilson would appoint an “unqualified” black female to the Supreme Court over his other candidate, a “highly qualified” white male, Robert Bonner, a former U.S. attorney and federal district judge. (April 26)?

After reading some of the opinions of Justice Brown, I have just three comments: She’s a breath of fresh air! She has common sense! I, too, vote for confirmation!
