‘Cronkite Remembers’ to Air on CBS May 23

In the wake of Barbara Walters’ 90-minute retrospective on ABC, CBS is planning a two-hour special with former “Evening News” anchor Walter Cronkite.
“Cronkite Remembers,” in which the veteran newsman reminisces about his career and family, will air May 23 at 8 p.m. He was at the helm of the CBS newscast from 1962 to 1981.
