Gunshot Victim Listed as Critical

OXNARD — An Oxnard man was listed in critical condition Friday night after being shot once in the abdomen, police said.
Gustavo Campos, 28, was shot at the Triple S Labor Camp in the 1700 block of 5th Street at about 4:30 p.m. and was undergoing surgery at Saint John’s Regional Medical Center in Oxnard late Friday.
Police were alerted to the incident by a 911 call. There were apparently no witnesses, and the victim was unable to communicate with investigators, police said. Police are unsure of the motive.
