International Remote Imaging Makes Acquisition

International Remote Imaging Systems Inc. has agreed to acquire Perceptive Scientific Instruments of Houston for $16 million, with $9 million of that in cash and the rest in notes.
PSI, a privately owned company, makes digital imaging systems for biological and clinical applications.
International Remote, based in Chatsworth, makes automated diagnostic equipment used in clinical laboratories, including equipment for urinalysis tests. The company had sales of $16 million last year.
