PRAYER BREAKFAST: The Rev. Lloyd Ogilvie, chaplain to the U.S. Senate and former senior pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Hollywood, will be the guest speaker at the 21st annual Burbank Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast. The event is scheduled for 7 a.m. Thursday at the Pickwick Banquet Center, 1001 Riverside Drive. Cost is $12 per person. Tickets will be available at the door as space permits. (818) 843-5273.
“FRIENDS”: The writer/producer team of Michael Curtis and Greg Maylins from the hit TV show “Friends” will be featured at the upcoming Entertainment Fellowship dinner at NBC Studios, 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, 3000 W. MURDER MYSTERY BENEFIT: The San Fernando Valley Interfaith Council’s East Valley Multipurpose Senior Center will hold “An Evening of Intrigue and Mystery,” a benefit dinner on Wednesday, performed by the cast of Dial M Murder Mysteries. A silent auction will begin at 6 p.m., followed by a 7 p.m. dinner at the Ventura, 13920 Ventura Blvd., Sherman Oaks. Tickets are $65 and reservations are due by Monday. ENVIRONMENTAL CONCERNS: Actor Ed Begley Jr. will be among the speakers at an interfaith seminar series on science and the environment presented by Reseda-based Environmental Ministries on Sunday.
