Mexico Crash Kills O.C. Man, 3 Others

A 51-year-old Huntington Beach man was killed, along with at least three companions, in a traffic accident late Friday in Baja California, authorities said.
The van in which Randall Albin Federwitz was riding veered into the path of an oncoming heavy truck.
Also killed were the driver of the van, Sergio Munoz of Chula Vista; Robert Craig Ripple of Lakewood; and an unidentified woman.
The Red Cross in Rosarito, Mexico, said that an injured woman, Deborah Estrada, was taken across the border for treatment in a U.S. hospital. The driver of the truck, Jesus Garcia, also was injured.
Mexican authorities in Rosarito were investigating the crash Saturday.
