Lighting Company Hoping for Brighter 2nd Quarter

CSL Lighting Manufacturing Inc., a Valencia maker of lighting fixtures, said its profit for the first three months of 1996 was $3,000, down from $182,000 in the same period last year.
Sales for the period were $3.4 million compared with $3.9 million last year.
The company also announced it has signed a settlement with its prior chief executive and chairman Jack J. Zukerman, who was terminated last year. As part of the agreement, Zukerman has returned to the company 515,000 shares of CSL common stock. The agreement with Zukerman will also result in added income to the company of $1.2 million in the second quarter.
