. . . Newport Beach police notified residents in Lido Isle that a sophisticated cat burglar had struck 14 homes in recent months without a single forced entry.
The burglar, who entered the top floor of two-story homes at night while residents were downstairs, snatched $100,000 of antique jewelry in one of the burglaries.
