SAN BERNARDINO — A Juvenile Court judge ordered the release Tuesday of one of two girls taken into custody on charges of spiking their teacher’s Gatorade with rat poison.
The 11-year-old girl will be released today to the custody of her father. Her movements will be monitored through the use of an electronic bracelet.
“I’m just glad that she’s going to be on home supervision. When the truth comes out you will see that she will be found not guilty,” said the father, whose name was not disclosed because of the girl’s juvenile status.
The girl is one of four Lucerne Valley Middle School sixth-graders allegedly involved in a plot to poison teacher Sondra Haile earlier this month.
