Wet Seal Raises Cash

IRVINE — Young women’s apparel retailer Wet Seal Inc. said Tuesday that it raised nearly $14.4 million in a public offering of 765,000 shares of its Class A common stock. Proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes, including repayment of debt and expansion. In addition, existing shareholders sold 2.8 million shares in the offering. The offering was sold at $20 a share.
