CANYON COUNTRY — Four Santa Clarita families were left temporarily homeless Wednesday by an apartment fire that spread from a parking garage, destroying several cars and two boats and damaging seven units.
No one was injured in the 3:45 a.m. blaze in the 27000 block of Camp Plenty Road. Those displaced, eight adults and four children, were referred to the Red Cross for shelter.
The fire caused $900,000 damage and was put out in about an hour, said inspector Henry Rodriguez of the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
