Panel to Discuss State of Talk Shows

Sam Rubin of the “KTLA Morning News,” nationally syndicated talk radio host Tom Leykis, radio and former TV talk-show host Marilyn Kagan and TV gossip commentator Dorothy Lucy are among speakers set for “What’s All the Talk About,” a panel discussion on talk shows and whether the genre has gone too far with its choice of guests and subjects.
Presented by the Los Angeles chapter of American Women in Radio and Television, the discussion will be held Aug. 21 at 6:30 p.m. in the Rita Hayworth Room at Sony Pictures Plaza in Culver City.
The event will also include a buffet dinner, silent auction and raffle. Tickets are $35 in advance, $40 at the door.
