Teenagers who want to learn to invest in the stock market and decipher annual business reports can participate in a 12-hour investment workshop in Camarillo sponsored by the Los Angeles Area Council of the National Assn. of Investment Clubs.
The teens, ages 13 through 19, must be accompanied by an adult partner.
Participants will learn to select, evaluate and purchase stocks that have growth potential, organizers said. They will also learn to read stock pages in newspapers, market review tools and business magazines.
The three-session course begins Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. It continues Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and finishes Aug. 9 from 6 to 9 p.m.
The Camarillo Health Care District is at 3639 E. Las Posas Road, Suite 117, Camarillo. There is a $20 admission fee and preregistration is required as the course is limited to 15 participants. To register call 388-1952, ext. 228.
