Saddleback Names Ybarra Women’s Volleyball Coach

Yvette Ybarra has been hired as women’s volleyball coach at Saddleback College, the school announced Friday.
Ybarra, a 1989 graduate of Fountain Valley High, played volleyball at Boise State. She previously coached club programs at Meridian High in Boise and currently works at the Florence Crittenton Home in Fullerton.
Ybarra takes over from Troy Abbey, who finished 42-31 in four seasons at Saddleback. Abbey recently accepted a teaching position at La Habra High, where he will coach the girls’ volleyball team.
Ybarra will be assisted by former Saddleback player Kelly Gallup.
