New York-based Ann Taylor Stores turned in its first profit after five quarters of declines or losses.
The women’s apparel retailer earned net income of $627,000, or 3 cents a share, matching the average estimate of analysts. In the year-earlier quarter, its loss was $3.8 million, or 16 cents.
