3 Children Among 6 Killed in Crash

Six people, at least three of them children, were killed Thursday night in a multi-vehicle accident in an unincorporated area just east of Compton, the California Highway Patrol said.
It appeared that three vehicles were involved and one overturned in the collision shortly before 10 p.m., CHP Officer Richard Perez said.
The accident occurred at South Atlantic and Rosecrans avenues, the CHP said.
An investigation was ongoing.
There were no other details available at edition time late Thursday.
