Janex International Posts Second-Quarter Profit

Janex International Inc. posted a profit turnaround in its second quarter on a 7% rise in sales.
The Woodland Hills-based children’s products concern posted a $24,628 profit in the quarter that ended June 30, compared with a $136,912 loss last year. Sales in the most recent quarter were $2.44 million, up from $2.28 million a year ago.
For the six-month period, Janex had a net loss of $538,372, compared with a net loss of $529,745 last year.
Janex’s sales for the six months rose 9% to $3.34 million, up from $3.06 million in the same period last year.
